FAQ
Straight answers
The questions NetSuite customers, implementers and controllers ask first. If yours is not here, ask us directly; you will get a straight answer too.
- Does YouConnext replace NetSuite?
- No, and it never will. NetSuite stays your system of record: every control, approval, form and saved search your finance team relies on is untouched. YouConnext is the layer in front of it, so the people who do the work get a screen built for their job, and NetSuite gets every record they produce.
- We are implementing NetSuite right now. Is it too early for this?
- It is exactly the right time. We start in your sandbox beside the implementation and go live on your NetSuite go-live day, so the field, warehouse and sales teams arrive ready instead of months later. Most implementations are built for finance first; this is how the rest of the company makes the same go-live.
- We are already live on NetSuite. How long does a launch take?
- Seven to ten days for proven modules: connect with token access, map your fields and subsidiaries in the app, tailor your brand and vocabulary, train each role from its playbook, and go live with us on call. There is no new ERP to stand up and no data to migrate, because NetSuite already holds your data.
- What do our field people actually see?
- A phone-first screen for their role, in your brand and your words. A technician sees their day: on the way, arrived, scan serials, photos, signature, done. A warehouse person scans the PO and receives. A rep builds a proposal and sends it to sign. None of them ever see a NetSuite form, and NetSuite still gets the Item Fulfillment, the Item Receipt, the Sales Order.
- Which NetSuite records do you write?
- Proven in production today: Customer, Lead, Estimate, Sales Order, Item Fulfillment, Invoice, Item Receipt, Inventory Transfer, Inventory Adjustment, Journal Entry, and custom records. The connector uses token-based auth to your own account, standard REST records to write and SuiteQL to read, and respects your subsidiaries, locations and approvals. Any record NetSuite exposes is reachable.
- Our NetSuite is heavily customized. Will this still work?
- That is the normal case, not the exception. Four dials make the platform yours: your brand, your vocabulary, the modules you turn on, and your field mappings, including custom fields, lists, subsidiaries and locations, all configured in the app. Tailoring is configuration, never a code fork, which is why a fix built for one customer ships to every customer.
- What is proven today, and what is still in development?
- Proven in production: the core shell, NetSuite connector, sales and e-sign, field services, dispatch and map, warehouse receiving, van and field stock, lease accounting, asset register, recurring billing, and the SOC 2 program. In development on the same shell and connector: pick-pack-ship, manufacturing floor, procurement, projects and time, and the customer portal. We will always tell you which side of that line a module is on.
- How is it priced?
- A one-time launch sized to the job, then a flat monthly platform subscription. Every user is included: we do not charge per seat, because adoption is the whole point and a per-seat meter punishes it. Book a walkthrough and we will bring the current price sheet.
- Where does our data live, and is it secure?
- Your business records live where they always did: in your NetSuite. The platform keeps its working data in Postgres with row-level security on every table, so one customer can never read another’s rows, with TLS everywhere, sensitive fields encrypted, an append-only audit log, and point-in-time recovery. The full posture is on our Security page.
- Are you SOC 2 certified? What about HIPAA?
- We run a SOC 2 readiness program that every customer inherits: policies acknowledged by everyone, quarterly access reviews, security training, vendor and secret registers, and a controls register computed from the records themselves. It is a readiness program, not a completed audit; SOC 2 Type II is a year-one milestone, and we will say so plainly until the report exists. For healthcare, a HIPAA tier adds the required controls, and we sign BAAs before any protected health information is processed.
- What happens if we leave?
- You lose nothing that matters. NetSuite was the system of record the whole time, so your transactions, customers and financials are already in the system you keep. Platform data such as photos, signatures and audit history is exportable on request, and we delete your tenant data on a documented schedule after departure.
- We are a NetSuite implementation partner. Do you compete with us?
- No. We never sell NetSuite configuration work: every hour of that stays yours. We only do the people side, and a customer whose field crew actually adopts the system becomes your reference account instead of your rescue project. Write us and we will show you how the partnership works.
